Privacy policy

Terra Technologies Ltd, trading as Landpower AI, operates the website at landpower.ai. We are a company registered in England and Wales, with our registered office at 14-15 Newbury Street, London EC1A 7HU. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used, and we handle it in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Landpower AI is a marketing site about AI data centre land development in the UK and Europe, and it collects very little personal data:

• Contact form: your name, email address, an enquiry category and your message, stored in a database operated by a third-party infrastructure provider.
• IP addresses: used transiently for rate limiting and abuse prevention and, when enabled, for verification through Cloudflare Turnstile.
• Server logs: standard server logs kept by our hosting provider.
• Access cookies: two cookies, lp_access and lp_model_access, used only to keep your access to the password-gated area after you enter a password.

We do not use analytics tools, advertising or marketing cookies, or newsletters, and we do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making.

We use your contact form details to respond to your enquiry and deal with any follow-up. IP addresses and server logs help us keep the site secure, prevent abuse and diagnose technical problems, and the access cookies keep the password-gated area working, which is where we share an investor deck and financial model with named parties.

Our lawful basis for all of this is legitimate interests: it is in our legitimate interest to respond to the people who contact us and to run a secure, reliable website, and we are satisfied that this limited use of your data does not override your own rights and interests.

We share personal data with the infrastructure providers that host the site, store contact form submissions and provide security and verification services (such as Cloudflare, when Turnstile verification is enabled). They act on our behalf and process data only to provide their services to us. We may also share data with professional advisers where required, and with regulators or other authorities where the law requires it.

We never sell personal data.

Our infrastructure providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, recognised safeguards apply, such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses. For more information about the safeguards that apply to a particular transfer, or to request a copy of them, contact legal@landpower.ai.

We keep contact enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, and for a reasonable period afterwards. IP addresses used for rate limiting and abuse prevention are held transiently. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period as part of operating the service, and are then deleted. The access cookies last up to 30 days. We do not keep personal data for longer than we need it.

UK GDPR gives you rights over your personal data. You can:

• Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Erasure: ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances, for example where we no longer need it.
• Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
• Objection: object to our use of your data based on legitimate interests.
• Portability: where we process data you have given us based on your consent or a contract, ask for it in a machine-readable format (this right rarely applies here, because we rely on legitimate interests).
• Complaint: complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.

The only cookies the site sets are lp_access and lp_model_access, which are strictly necessary and keep your access to the password-gated area. Your cookie notice preference is stored in your browser's localStorage, which is not a cookie. Full details are in our cookie policy at /legal/cookies.

Landpower AI is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the site or the law changes. The current version will always be available at /legal/privacy, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated.
